Beam shot comparison:

The above is a beam shot, comparing the Lucidus-XR2 to the XM-3. The XM-3 was a very popular flashlight Elektro Lumens sold for some time (now discontinued), in use by quite a number of security companies. Although the brightness of the XM-3 is adequate for such use, the Lucidus-XR2 is considerably brighter. Also, the LED being used, the Cree XR-E, is much more efficient, using less power to obtain much higher brightness than the XM-3, which used a Luxeon 3W LED.
