I really like the Lucidus.
The beam is nice and white.
The switch sits inside the tail. You won't have to worry about activating the light accidently. The light sits on it's tail with no problems. I like the multiple levels of the switch. It doesn't take a scientist to figure out the IQ Switch.
I may have to place an order for it's "big brother" the Lucidus 3AA. The 3AA is going to be much brighter than the 2AA.
It's bulit tough. It will take a lickin' and keep on tickin'!

The UPS man delivered my Lucidus-XR2 today.
This light is going to get a lot of use. It is rugged and quite bright. It is chunky and won't win any beauty contests, but it's rugged nature means I won't worry about it in rough use situations.
I have two other Cree XRE lights...this is the only one with a nice beam. I think the Cree was meant for an optic. Rings be gone! I was skeptical of optics, but not anymore. They definately have their place attached to the front of the Cree.
This light is equally as bright as my Fenix P1D-CE on medium, but without the halo. It puts my trusty L2P to shame.
All the parts fit nice and tight. None of the threads are remotely loose. Wayne's anodizing is definately function over form, but it is a nice deep and even color and seems quite tough for a type II finish. I've been scratching around on inconspicuous areas.
The removeable tailswitch guard is almost too deep. This light will definately not get bumped on accidentally.
All in all I'm quite happy with this purchase. It has the runtime, brightness, and common battery type I've been looking for.

Recived mine now, got some more things to add later but for now:
- Built like a tank!
- The Led Lenser handlebar mount Litemaiina sells for 3.8$ in his surplus thread works perfectly with the Lucidus XR-2 if you want to use it on the bike!
- The switch rattles (a little when you shake the light)... i do not like that...
- Nice beam!
- Nice grippy texture on the light!
