This is a home made flashlight, using ordinary copper plumbing pipe. I used 3/4" copper pipe, a 1" to 3/4" reducer, and a 3/4" pipe cap for the tail cap, which merely presses on firmly (not threaded, and no spring). I had to shim the inside to fit the Lithium batteries. This flashlight, which I call the "LithiumLux", uses two Lithium 123 batteries, which produces 6 volts. I use a 3 way switch, for low/high/off settings. This flashlight uses resistors, not electronic voltage regulation, to regulate the voltage/current to the Luxeon Star.

The Luxeon Star is the latest technology in LED lighting. One single Luxeon Star LED is as bright as 18 - 20 Nichia 5mm white LED's !!
