The Tri Star Bike Light is the latest hi-tech answer to the bicyclist's need for high power lighting. Using three amazingly bright 3 watt Luxeon Star LEDs, this light puts out a whopping 216 Lumens of light. Running at a full 13.5 watts, these LEDs easily put out as much light as a 20 watt halogen bulb.
Features:
- Uses 3 nimh D cells. Batteries last about 6 to 8 hours at peak brightness
- The Luxeon Star LED will last about 50,000 hours, remains pure white irregardless of voltage (never turns that ugly yellowish color), and is impervious to impact
- Three nimh D cells are held in a pouch under the handlebar post. (Not shown in photos.)
- Astoundingly bright. See everything in front of you clearly at night. Also, you will be seen!
- Large heat sink keeps the Luxeon Star LEDs cool, so they remain bright, and last longer.
- Uses a triple lens, called 'Tri-Lens', made by Fraen optics. Focuses the light into a 6 degree beam pattern, with ample side spill light for close up lighting, yet lights up the road far ahead of you.
