A new line of flashlights, which I call ELX. This light uses six 3W LEDs, wired in banks of 3 LEDs each in series. I use six 27mm reflectors in this version. It is powered by 10 AA NIMH rechargable batteries, and has an internal jack for charging (remove the tailcap to plug in the charger). (Batteries and charger are included with the premium version of this light.) The 6061 Aluminum body is substantial, with a 3" diameter head, large heat sink fins, and a 1.75" diameter body. An astounding, remarkable 432 lumens, and 14,800 lux reading. Absolutely amazing! Made in America by Elektro Lumens. We make these as we take the orders, in our own machine shop! Anodized clear only (silver).The ELX-6-27 differs from the ELX-6, in that is uses the larger 27mm reflectors (The ELX-6 uses 20mm reflectors.) This puts more of the light into the center hot spot, and less in the side spill. The head is 4" diameter, compared to 3" diamter of the ELX-6. Brightness of the ELX-6-27 is around 14,800 lux, compared to an average 10,000 to 12,000 lux for the ELX-6.This light is exceptional in it's performance, ahead of it's time in deployment, and there is nothing else like it on the market at this time. Up to 22 watts of intense pure white light (22 watts from this LED bike light is roughly equivalent to a 44 watt Halogen light! Up to 432 Lumens of blazing light! Excellent throwing narrow beam with great side spill for close up lighting. 50,000 hours life expectancy of LEDs. No more fragile and expensive Halogen or HID bulbs to replace, or exceedingly expensive ballasts to replace! LEDs are impervious to impact. Use relatively inexpensive NIMH rechargables. Use 10AA batteries. Battery holders can be removed and batteries serviced by user when needed. Anodized clear, for a very beautiful silver color finish.
