  • Elektro Lumens "Brutus Maximus" Flashlight

    • Custom Machined on manual lathe by Wayne. Your choice of one of 3 kinds of metals (and 3 price levels):
      • Nickel Alumibronze: The metal is mostly used in salty marine environments, like ships propellers, nuts and bolts, etc. This bronze alloy (bronze is an alloy of copper and iron), with aluminum (10%) and nickel (5%), holds up extremely well in harsh sea environments
      • Alumibronze: This is a very tough metal, commonly used in wheel bearing races. It is extremely tough and durable, not having the nickel, it is not quite as hard. Visually it is similar in color to the nickel alumi-bronze.
      • Aluminum: 6061 aircraft grade aluminum, anodized clear (silver). Very robust for most environments other than sea water.
    • Three Cree XM-L LEDs, 1000 lumens each, a total of 3000 lumens! The LEDs are wired in series, which results in lower amperage draw (but higher voltage), which is easier on the batteries, and easier to find batteries that will work with this flashlight.
    • 35mm Tri-optics, compact, medium smooth beam
    • 43mm Mineral glass lens
    • Low/high power settings, or on/off, by spinning the head.
    • Twisty on/off/momentary tail cap switch. On/off/momentary twisty tail cap switch. A lockout button cover, for when you do NOT want to use momentary button. This tail cap plug also has a lanyard hole, for a wrist strap (wrist strap not included)
    • Uses three 26650 batteries (Not included)
      • I recommend using the INR 26650 battery, or IMR 26650, or Moli 26700. (Never combine different battery chemistries.)
      • Any battery used, it must have at least a 3 amp discharge rate. Most 26650 batteries on the market should power this flashlight. Just check to make sure the battery can provide at LEAST 3 amps power.
      • Upon request, I can provide a tube spacer so 18650 batteries can be used. (Small additional cost)
    • Charger recommendations:
      • There are a number of very good Li-Ion battery chargers to charge the 26650 battery. You can do a web search and find one, or you can email Wayne for suggestions.
    • About 1 hour continuous run time on high, 3 hours run time on low. Run time will vary depending on battery capacity, condition, quality, etc.
